We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Title and Registration Clerk to join our administrative team.
Job Summary:
The Title and Registration Clerk is responsible for processing motor vehicle titles and registrations for new and used vehicle sales in compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) requirements. This position plays a critical role in ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient completion of vehicle documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Process title and registration paperwork for all vehicle sales (new, used, wholesale, and trade-ins)
Accurately prepare and submit documentation to PennDOT, including use of the online Dealer Agent Services system
Verify all information for accuracy, including vehicle identification numbers (VINs), odometer readings, lienholder data, and customer identification
Maintain current knowledge of state titling and registration laws and compliance requirements
Communicate with customers, banks, and lienholders to resolve titling or documentation issues
File and maintain title documents and ensure records are kept up to date
Handle out-of-state and lease vehicle titling as needed
Process title corrections, duplicate titles, and other related functions
Support internal departments (sales, finance, service) with title-related questions or needs
Qualifications:
Previous experience in automotive and/or recreational vehicle title and registration processing preferred
Knowledge of PennDOT requirements and Dealer Agent Services systems is highly desirable
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and customer service abilities
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Excel required
Experience using a dealership management systems (DMS) preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
