We pair exceptional specialty coffee with Swedish-inspired pastries and are preparing to launch a full food program in the coming months. We are looking for a passionate, self-motivated baker to join our team and grow with us. Position Overview: We are seeking a part-time baker to begin immediately. After a 90-day evaluation and trial period, this role has the opportunity to transition into a full-time position, eventually growing into the Head Pastry Chef role and potentially Executive Chef responsible for leading our entire food program. The ideal candidate is disciplined, passionate about baking, highly organized, a self-starter, and operates with a hospitality-first mindset. This role requires maintaining the integrity of existing recipes, contributing to new recipe development, and overseeing kitchen operations including menu costing, budgeting, inventory, and back-of-house management. Qualifications: Previous experience in a pastry or baking role within a restaurant, bakery, or professional kitchen environment. Strong attention to detail in all aspects of baking. Previous bread baking or savory food preparation experience is a plus. Must be available for early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays. Must have or be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate within 10 days of hire. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted. Must speak, read, and write English fluently. Must be able to work independently and within a team. Strong organizational skills and a proactive, self-motivated attitude. Responsibilities: Proof and bake Swedish pastries including cinnamon buns, cardamom buns, and saffron buns. Prepare and bake Swedish chocolate cake and vegan Swedish chocolate balls (training will be provided). Take inventory of ingredients and baked goods. Maintain consistency and discipline with all existing recipes. Assist in new recipe development and menu planning. Contribute to menu costing, budgeting, and back-of-house operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment before, during, and after shifts. Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday: 5.30PM- 9.30PM Saturday-Sunday: 5.00AM - 8.30AM or 4.00pm-7.00pm Availability on weekends and holidays is required.
