Never content to rest upon our successes, we will continue to evolve and retain a position of leadership in our industry.Our past success, our current business philosophies and our sound business planning, combine to position Boyd Gaming Corporation to maximize value for our shareholders, our team members and our communities.Job DescriptionThe Bartender position is responsible for providing beverage service to Valley Forge Casino guests and cocktail servers while providing excellent customer service in a fast paced environment.Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers and coworkers.Maintains company funds and equipment in an orderly manner.Pours drinks according to established recipes; maintains a clean and safe work environment.Ensures compliance with identifying minors on the gaming floor.Demonstrates specific product offerings and ordering procedures.Monitors proper par levels of all supplies at assigned bars.Communicates any problems or situations detrimental to the company to immediate supervisor.Is responsible for the security and accuracy of assigned bank and is accountable for any and all overages and shortages.Opens/closes bar according to established procedures.Provides work direction for bar porters assigned to bar.Additional duties as requested.QualificationsBartender experience required. MUST be at least 21 years of age. Knowledge and ability to mix a wide variety of drinks.Excellent customer service skills.Knowledge of the operation of all bar equipment.Can stand for duration of the shift while walking and bending repeatedly.May need to work in a loud, music-filled environment.Must be able to obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
