Principal Duties
As a Groundskeeper I you will:
Mow, rake, water, and fertilize lawns.
Plant, transplant, water, fertilize, and trim flowers and shrubs.
Assist with general maintenance of sprinkler systems.
Assist with preventative maintenance of lawnmowers, snow blowers, and other small grounds-keeping equipment.
Lead other groundskeepers in functional supervisory roles.
Remove snow.
The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion, such as digging, shoveling, planting, trimming, climbing, lifting heavy objects, crouching, or crawling. You must be at least 16 years of age or older to apply for this position.
The Ideal Candidate
The best candidate for this position will have:
will have experience in landscaping and grounds care.
Have a valid driver's license.

Working Conditions: Risks that require the use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with hazardous chemicals, etc.
Physical Requirements: The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as frequent climbing, lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds, crouching or crawling in restricted areas.
DHRM rules apply for promotions/transfers.
