Job Purpose
The primary task of the Guest Services Associate is to welcome clients to the campus of Furnitureland South. They also manage the rotation of the controlled guest list, as well as assisting Design Consultants and their clients, findings and using manufacturers' resources, and keeping the Design Center organized.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Greet clients upon their arrival.
- Use computerized guest lists to notify Design Consultants when they are available.
- Answer and disperse calls from internal and external clients answering questions about hours, manufacturers, as well as basic product questions.
- Assist clients with needs they may have while visiting campus (ie. Connecting with Design Consultants, accommodations, and information about the facilities).
- Work with manufacturer reps on coordinating, cataloging, and keeping display inventory in the Design Center in pristine condition.
- Assist Design Consultants in creating PowerPoints for client's use.
- Keep Design Center and manufacturer's resources clean, current, and organized.
- Assist Design Consultants with catalogs, fabrics, and finishes.

Working Conditions
This job is an on-site position that operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Proficient in Adobe Suite
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associate's degree or higher
- Two years in an administrative or clerical role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
