Westaff is looking for a Janitor in Ayer MA for Immediate Start!
Location: Ayer, MA
Pay: $17-$19/hour depending on Experience
Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and weing environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Duties
Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Handle custodial duties, ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained.
Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
Carry out industrial cleaning duties to ensurepliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or needs for replenishment.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow andpletion of cleaning schedules.
Provide porter services as required, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment when necessary.
Experience
Previous experience in custodial ormercial cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
Experience in facilities maintenance or related fields is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols while performing cleaning tasks.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
