Position Summary
City WineryEvent Captains will coordinate the day of logistics with the Manager on Duty(MOD) to execute the Banquet Event Order (BEO) from a front of housestandpoint. They will participate in food and beverage service as outlined bythe MOD, coordinate with the Chef on duty in the kitchen, and presentthe standards as outlined in the Events SOP Training. City Winery EventCaptains will provide high level hospitality to the client and guests.

Overview of Responsibilities

Coordinate with and execute the plan of the MODfor all onsite event logistics for day prior, set up, hands-on execution, andthrough post-event breakdown

Ability to connect and communicate with MOD toreview logistics and provide on-the-floor support, including but not limited toensuring the event is performed and delivered according to client expectations

Ensure the event is maintained to the higheststandards and run successfully

Maintain positive brand impressions to developlasting relationships with clients and guests to retain business and increasegrowth

Work directly with Event Sales Team, ExecutiveChef, Winery Department, GM and FOH Managers, and any other internal partnersto secure event needs for execution

Carry out service strategy as set forth by MOD

Frequently check in with the MOD to ensureservice standards, event timeline, and event menu are being executed to theexpectations of the client

Organize, print, and distribute detailedBanquet Event Orders (BEOs) with approval of MOD, to be passed along to otherdepartments (i.e. Front of House, Kitchen, etc.) to ensure smooth execution onthe day of the event

Maintain inventory of equipment, place andreceive rental orders and organize rentals for pickup

Ensure the venue is fully prepared andorganized for the execution of the event

Coordinate with MOD to assist with outsidevendors, including but not limited to; equipment load in and load out andoverall rental equipment organization

Oversee printed collateral: menus, labels, etc.

Ensure completion of post event tasks including room resets, organizing rental equipment for pick up, and operationalsupplies remain organized for the next shift all based on expectations set byMOD

Other duties, projects, and tasks as perbusiness need

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 2years experience in event operations management, or equivalent relevantexperience

Provenbackground and knowledge of strategizing and executing on-premise events

Appreciationand general understanding of the music, food, and wine business

Exceptionalattention to detail and organizational skills; results oriented

Ability totake direction from MOD

Aptitude toresolve troublesome situations with poise

Exceptionalhospitality and customer service skills

Proven eventoperations skills and commitment to operational excellence

Ability tosuccessfully multitask, delegate, and coordinate several tasks at once in fastpaced, high volume environments

Exceptionalcommunication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal

Able andwilling to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, andholidays

Functionalknowledge of the health department and related regulations

Ability toperform physical requirements of position including standing and walking forextended periods of time, bending, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying upto 50 lbs.

Must befluently literate in English including ability to read, write, communicate,conduct basic business-related mathematics, and be able to accurately functiona POS
