Traveling Relief Line Cook

JOB SUMMARY: The Traveling Relief Line Cook provides critical support across multiple kitchen locations within the Wont Stop Hospitality family. This individual ensures culinary continuity by filling temporary gaps in staffing due to vacations, call-offs, or other absences. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, adapts quickly to changing environments, and maintains high food quality and cleanliness standards at all times. This is a hands-on role for an experienced, flexible, and team-oriented culinary professional who is ready to support operations where and when theyre needed most.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Travel to assigned locations across the company footprint to support kitchen operations on an as-needed basis.
- Work assigned line stations (e.g., salad, saute, fry, grill, prep) with consistency, speed, and precision.
- Maintain company standards for food quality, ticket times, cleanliness, and kitchen organization.
- Communicate effectively with BOH leadership and front-of-house teams at each location.
- Support the culinary team in ensuring seamless execution during times of short staffing.
- Demonstrate professional conduct and adaptability in new kitchen settings.
- Follow recipes, prep lists, and service standards as provided by the site location.
- Properly store, label, and rotate ingredients following health and food safety guidelines.
- Complete any required checklists or shift notes per location expectations.
- Represent the company positively while working in different store environments.
- Maintains and ensures overall cleanliness.
- Approach interactions with co-workers and guests in a respectful & solution-oriented manner.
- Maintaining friendly, helpful, and positive attitude while at work
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation by always practicing safe and sanitary food handling
- Position requires regular and reliable attendance.
- Other duties may be assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Minimum of 2 years of line cook experience in a fast-paced or high-volume kitchen.
- Ability to work multiple stations and adapt quickly to different kitchen setups.
- Clear communication and positive attitude under pressure.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel between locations as assigned (mileage reimbursement may apply).
- Willingness to accept short-notice shift assignments as needed.
- Valid Food Handlers card and permits

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES: This position does not have direct supervisory duties but plays a critical support role to the culinary leadership at each location.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Previous high-volume restaurant experience preferred. Must have basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write and speak fluently, in the primary language of the property location.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense, define problems, collect data and notify management when necessary. Ability to successfully re-prioritize tasks in a moments notice.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.
