THE FORUM is recruiting for a hospitality focused Prep-Cook to join our team in the Health Care Center! The Prep-Cook assists cooks in the preparation and service of menu items and general cleaning.

Employment Type: Full Time

Wage : $25- $30.00

Sign-on Bonus: $ 1000

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Cook:

  • Assists cooks with pre-preparation of ingredients for entrees.
  • Assists cooks in the preparation and service of various foods in assigned work situations including pantry items, soups, sauces, poultry and fish items.
  • Assists cooks in the preparation of basic dessert items as well as breakfast items for residents.

Other Duties:

  • Follows proper food handling techniques and coordinates the use of time, material and equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expense.
  • Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
  • Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
  • Attends in service training and education sessions as assigned.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and performs simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
  • Six (6) months experience as a cook's helper recommended but not required. Will train on the job.
  • Ability to interpret standardized recipes, instructions, specifications and standards.
