THE FORUM is recruiting for a hospitality focused Prep-Cook to join our team! The Prep-Cook assists cooks in the preparation and service of menu items and general cleaning.
Employment Type: Full Time
Schedule varies: 9:00am-5:30pm , 12:00pm-8:30pm. Must be available to work the weekends.
Wage : $25- $30.00
Sign-On Bonus: $ 1,000

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Cook:
- Assists cooks with pre-preparation of ingredients for entrees.
- Assists cooks in the preparation and service of various foods in assigned work situations including pantry items, soups, sauces, poultry and fish items.
- Assists cooks in the preparation of basic dessert items as well as breakfast items for residents.
Other Duties:
- Follows proper food handling techniques and coordinates the use of time, material and equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expense.
- Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition
- Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
- Attends in service training and education sessions as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and performs simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
- Six (6) months experience as a cook's helper recommended but not required. Will train on the job.
- Ability to interpret standardized recipes, instructions, specifications and standards.
