This role involves hands-on work in custodial services, grounds maintenance, and a range of campus operations. It is distinguished from other custodial positions by the level of physical effort, independence, and the broader scope of responsibilities required to support campus operations. While overall direction is provided by the Campus Operations Manager, the Lead Custodian Technician is expected to adapt their daily schedule to accommodate immediate, non-standard (special events), and emergency requirements, ensuring appropriate service delivery. Also, will oversee inventory, cleaning materials, and necessary equipment for task execution. This is a part-time position scheduled for 25 hours per week, Monday through Thursday evenings from 4:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with occasional Saturday shifts from 7:30a.m. to 12:00p.m. There is flexibility to adjust the schedule as needed to fulfill weekly hour requirements. Essential Responsibilities: Perform routine cleaning duties within the Madison College facilities and other leased or owned off campus facilities Perform routine non-cleaning duties within the Madison College facilities, and other leased or owned off campus facilities Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with both internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of basic electricity, plumbing and maintenance procedures. Knowledge of proper use of hand and small power tools associated with custodial tasks. Knowledge of basic safety procedures associated with custodial and maintenance tasks. Knowledge of basic microcomputers. Knowledge of small engine repair and maintenance. Knowledge of chemical safety, OHSA regulations, blood-borne pathogens, and hazardous material regulations as required for the position. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Three (3) years of work experience directly related to the skills required for successfully performing the duties of this position.
