Groundskeeper (Full-Time, 40 Hours, Day Shift)

RESPONSIBILITIES I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Performs a variety of duties to maintain the grounds, including gardening and landscaping, and exterior hardscape of The Queen's Medical Center (QMC). II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS Essential: standing, sitting, walking, stooping/bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting, twisting body, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting and carrying usual weight of 40 pounds up to 60 pounds, pushing/pulling usual weight of 30 pounds up to 40 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, frequent gripping of an object. Operates a variety of motorized equipment and manual hand tools such as: gas powered cart, articulating lift, reel rotary and riding mowers, reciprocator, edger, handheld and backpack blowers III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS Exposed to extreme conditions of outdoor environment. Subjected to vibration and dust from gardening equipment. Controlled exposure to agricultural chemicals (fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides). Works on roofs. Works in articulating lift or forklift basket. IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A.
