The Role: As Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Executive Chef to execute a seasonal, ingredient-driven menu that combines tradition with innovation. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and detail-oriented kitchen, with a deep respect for Mediterranean culinary heritage.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including prep, service, and team coordination
Lead and inspire a brigade of chefs, cooks, and support staff with a focus on quality and consistency
Assist in menu development, including testing, plating, and presentation
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness
Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships in conjunction with the Executive Chef
Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring professional development and retention
Uphold the restaurants fine dining standards through attention to detail and passion for excellence
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a Sous Chef or senior kitchen leadership role
Knowledge of Mediterranean cooking mezze or small-plate experience is a major plus
Proven ability to lead a team in a high-pressure, high-performance kitchen
Solid understanding of kitchen operations, food costing, and inventory management
Commitment to creativity, precision, and culinary excellence
Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
