General Summary of Position
Job Summary:
As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for effectively communicating with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock. The Host/Hostess must feel comfortable entering patients rooms and interacting with our patients.
This is a full time opportunity. It is a requirement to work rotating weekends.
Primary Duties:
- Takes patient food orders according to dietary/allergy restrictions.
- Delivers food carts to correct floor or patient area.
- Serves trays to patients and assisting with opening containers or cutting foods when requested.
- Records the amount and type of special food items to patients
- Collect trays and places garbage and trash in designated containers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 1 year of work related experience preferred.
