INTRODUCTION TO ROLE
Camp Host's responsibilities are greeting guests, answering questions, doing routine maintenance, cleaning lights, and possibly collecting campground fees. Using a creative assortment of methods, assist in promoting recreation operations and activities to internal and external sources. *Seasonal roles are not eligible for health benefits. Seasonal roles are eligible for sick time and holiday pay WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Excellent communication and customer service skills including the ability to remain calm and friendly when confronted with upset visitors or problems
- Basic writing and computer skills
- The ability to be on your feet, ride a bike, and/or drive a golf cart, and move around freely with guests
- Ability to work positively with other campground employees and other staff members
- Support all company policies and procedures

- Greeting guests
- Collecting fees
- Preparing weekly revenue and attendance reports
- Helping guests solve problems
- Cleaning exterior and interior facilities (particularly bathroom buildings)
- Some light maintenance
- Provide information about the resort and local attractions
- Picking up litter throughout the complex
- Maintain a neat and orderly campsite
- Assist other employees when asked
- Ensures the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured and guest-ready always
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Provides regular and reliable attendance
WHO YOU WORK WITH The Camp Host will report to the General Manager and work closely with the Assistant General Manager.
WHAT YOU BRING
- High school degree or GED equivalent
- Previous customer service experience required
- Thorough knowledge of the recreation industry programs and amenities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities this job requires include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Working an in outdoor setting, the employee must be able to perform in all types of weather conditions.
