JOB DESCRIPTION

General Description: The Custodian is part of the facilities team, working collaboratively with the Custodial Supervisor and the Maintenance Manager to implement a professional and clean campus in support of the school’s mission.

POSITION TITLE: Custodian

Reports to: Custodial Supervisor

Essential Job Functions: Duties include, but are not limited to the following

• Strives to achieve the goals of Catholic education; shows evidence of knowledge of the Catholic philosophy of education; promotes gospel values and Catholic moral teaching; upholds the doctrinal teachings of the Catholic Church; provides opportunities for the students to be prepared for life in today’s Church and society.
• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, etc.).
• Clean windows on a regularly scheduled basis and whenever a situation requires immediate action.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Collaborates with the maintenance team to ensure that the grounds and buildings are always properly cared for.
• Set up, tear down, and clean up for various functions.
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs on school grounds.
• Establish positive school-community relationships.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Maintain Safe Environment as required by the Diocese of Phoenix.
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned by the Custodial Supervisor, Maintenance Manager and/or the Director of Finance.
