Pay Rate: $21.75/hour + $5.50/hr (Health & Welfare) + $.20/hr (Pension) + 11 Paid Holidays + Sick Pay + Vacation

Are you a dedicated and trustworthy individual with a strong work ethic? We are seeking a Custodian to join our team at a high-security federal government facility. Due to the sensitive nature of this environment, all applicants must have a clean background and successfully pass a comprehensive and stringent background investigation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily Responsibilities:
Sweep, mop, and disinfect floors in public spaces, restrooms, lobbies, and other common areas.
Vacuum carpets and rugs, perform spot cleaning, and periodic carpet extraction in high-traffic areas.
Sanitize restrooms including toilets, urinals, sinks, partitions, and flooring. Refill soap, paper, and sanitizer dispensers.
Trash and Recycling:
Remove and dispose of trash and recycling from all receptacles daily.
Replace liners as needed to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
High-Touch and High-Traffic Areas:
Regular disinfection of door handles, push plates, handrails, elevator buttons, and light switches.
Glass and Vertical Surface Care:
Clean interior glass, mirrors, and other vertical surfaces (up to 10 feet in height).
Elevators and Stairways:
Thoroughly clean elevator interiors, door tracks, stair treads, landings, and handrails.
Periodic Tasks:
Wash interior windows annually or as scheduled.
Dust and spot clean blinds and window coverings.
Replenish and restock all sanitary and consumable items in designated areas.

Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must have a clean criminal background.
Must pass a rigorous federal background investigationthis includes fingerprinting, employment verification, and criminal history checks.
Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow strict protocols.
Ability to lift 30+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
