Location: HuSporia 3725 Georgia Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20010

HuSporia is a globally-inspired, Afro-fusion restaurant celebrating the diaspora through Caribbean, Latin, Asian, and African cuisine. We are currently hiring a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and cook dishes across saute, grill, and fry stations with consistency and precision
Execute recipes for Afro, Caribbean, Asian, and Latin-inspired dishes with attention to flavor, plating, and portioning
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
Work efficiently during high-volume service while remaining composed and focused
Communicate clearly with fellow cooks, expo, and FOH staff using proper restaurant terms (fire, 86, on the fly, etc.)
Assist with prep tasks and support the kitchen team during transitions and closing
Follow the chefs lead while showing initiative and accountability

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2 years of experience working on a professional kitchen line
Ability to handle multiple stations and cook 40+ covers/hour during peak times
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability
Experience with global cuisines a plus (Afro, Caribbean, Latin, Asian)
ServSafe Certification preferred but not required

SCHEDULE & PAY:
Evening shifts, TuesdaySunday
Competitive hourly wage based on experience

HuSporia es un restaurante de fusion global que celebra la diaspora a traves de la cocina caribena, latina, asiatica y africana. Actualmente estamos contratando a un Cocinero de Linea con experiencia y motivacion para unirse a nuestro equipo de cocina.

RESPONSABILIDADES:
Preparar y cocinar platos en estaciones de salteado, parrilla y freidora con precision y consistencia
Ejecutar recetas inspiradas en sabores afro, caribenos, latinos y asiaticos
Mantener su estacion de trabajo limpia y organizada, cumpliendo con las normas de higiene y seguridad alimentaria
Trabajar de manera eficiente durante horas de alto volumen
Comunicarse claramente con companeros de cocina y personal del frente utilizando lenguaje profesional (fire, 86, on the fly, etc.)
Apoyar con tareas de preparacion, transicion y cierre de cocina
Seguir las instrucciones del chef con iniciativa y responsabilidad

REQUISITOS:
Minimo 2 anos de experiencia como cocinero de linea en una cocina profesional
Capacidad para manejar multiples estaciones y cocinar 40+ platos por hora durante horas pico
Etica de trabajo fuerte, atencion al detalle y puntualidad
Experiencia en cocinas internacionales es una ventaja (afro, caribena, latina, asiatica)
Certificacion ServSafe preferida, pero no requerida

HORARIO Y PAGO:
Turnos en la noche, de martes a domingo
Salario competitivo segun la experiencia
