Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of related facilities and industrial maintenance experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years in mechanical and maintenance repair; experience with maintenance of PC and/or CNC controlled production and plant equipment.
- Minimum of 6 mos. of hands-on use of machine shop tools and equipment (lathes, millers, grinders, etc.)
Education
- High School diploma or GED
- Technical Trade School preferred

Job Summary
The Maintenance mechanic will work under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor or Team Leader, this position will perform a variety of facility and maintenance duties which include installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining complex mechanical and precision production and plant machinery and equipment. Performs other maintenance mechanical related functions that will maintain production equipment and machinery. Perform TPM inspections.
Essential Functions
- Confers with operators and observes, tests, and evaluates operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction according with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications.
- Diagnose & troubleshoot CNC equipment & machines. Examine parts for defects, remove or install parts.
- Repairs, replaces, adjusts, and aligns components of machinery (hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical)
- and equipment pumps, motors, spindles or dressers)
- Cleans and lubricates parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Test-run the repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
- Orders or requisitions parts and materials.
- Operate tool room equipment (Bridgeport, lathes, grinders).
- Fabricate and repair various types of equipment, enclosures, framework, etc.
- Perform basic facility repairs such as plumbing and carpentry.
- Contact vendors as needed.
- Actively participate in specific job training, promote and comply with all EHS programs and policies.
- Follow policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Handbook.
- Perform all other job duties as assigned.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to cutting fluid, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, on some instances this job may require work in areas where ear protection is required.
