Estela is currently seeking a n experienced part time Server to join its team.

One of the most celebrated restaurants in the United States, Estela is an intimate downtown bistro from chef Ignacio Mattos can be experienced in many ways, whether its a thrilling dinner in the dining room, a leisurely weekend brunch with friends, or a late-night drink at the bustling bar. Since opening in 2013, the restaurant has served several signature dishes that are now considered New York City classics, while always offering guests something new to try.

Our commitment to quality and passion for exceptional dining experiences has earned estela one Michelin star, among other major accolades.

A server is responsible for managing the guests overall dining experience by providing prompt, attentive table service. This role will support the guests dining experience and will be in communication with service and kitchen team and serving guests in an efficient manner.

Lunch, dinner and weekeend availability is required.

Key Focus

  • Taking guest orders in an accurate and orderly manner.
  • Making educated menu recommendations to guests.
  • Ensure all food and beverage orders are fulfilled and uphold quality.
  • Provide attentive and quality service to all guests during their experience.

Personnel

  • Ensure compliance with occupational, health, and safety standards.
  • Participate actively during pre-shift meetings.
  • Participate in restaurant service and team trainings.
  • Ensure consistent communication with team members, management, and the kitchen during service.
  • Demonstrate ability to aid co-workers during service while successfully maintaining responsibilities.

Guest Service

  • Ensures all guests consistently receive courteous and efficient service.
  • Responds positively and promptly to customer concerns and complaints.
  • Maintains guest satisfaction by monitoring and evaluating food beverage and service offerings.
  • Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff.
  • Maintain a welcoming and orderly restaurant environment.
  • Builds relationships with repeat guests. .

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($11.00) plus tips
