Job Summary:
Reporting to the Head Bellhop, the Bellhops are responsible for providing a warm welcome and fond farewell to all Members and Hotel guests of The Twenty Two New York, ensuring a seamless and refined arrival and departure experience. As the first point of contact for all hotel guests and Members, Bellhops should excel at remembering names and personal preferences to enhance guest recognition and foster a sense of familiarity and exclusivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consistently outstanding guest service by extending a warm welcome, assisting with departures, and anticipating guest needs before they arise.
  • Acknowledge and greet in-house, arriving, and departing guests, using their name whenever possible.
  • Recognize and warmly welcome returning guests and Members.
  • Maintain a presence at the entrance, ensuring guests receive an immediate and hospitable welcome.
  • Hold open doors and provide assistance for guests entering and exiting the property.
  • Offer umbrella service during inclement weather and assist with guest belongings as needed.
  • Monitor and manage street activity in front of the property, ensuring the designated loading zone remains clear for guest arrivals and departures.
  • Ensure the front entrance and surrounding areas remain tidy, welcoming, and safe.
  • Assist guests with luggage handling, including loading and unloading from vehicles, ensuring all items are accounted for.
  • Escort guests to their rooms upon check-in, providing a thorough rooming experience and confidently explaining room features, amenities, and services available during their stay.
  • Deliver mail, parcels, and guest requests to rooms promptly, ensuring all items are logged appropriately.
  • Keep the luggage storage area organized, ensuring guest belongings are securely tagged and stored.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all equipment, including luggage trolleys and the entrance area.
  • Assist guests with transportation arrangements, such as securing taxis, and coordinating with the Front Office team to ensure smooth travel experiences.
  • Offer recommendations and guidance on local New York attractions, restaurants, and cultural experiences.
  • Stay up to date with what is happening at The Twenty Two New York and in the local area to provide relevant and insightful recommendations to guests.
  • Discreetly manage any noise concerns, particularly during overnight shifts, and ensure that guests and members exit the property respectfully.
  • Keep a detailed log of any disturbances or notable street activity and report issues to security or the manager on duty when necessary.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests and team members.

  • Some guest-facing experience preferred but not required.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($18.00 - $21.00)
