One of the most celebrated restaurants in the United States, estela is an intimate downtown bistro from chef Ignacio Mattos that can be experienced in many ways, whether its a thrilling dinner in the dining room, a leisurely weekend brunch with friends, or a late-night drink at the bustling bar. Since opening in 2013, the restaurant has served several signature dishes that are now considered New York City classics, while always offering guests something new to try.

We are now seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to contribute to our Bar team.
Weekend availability is required for this position.
A Bartender is responsible for making beverages as well as serving food and beverage for guests dining in the bar area. This position ensures bar service runs smoothly and that guests have enjoyable dining experiences. The Bartender will maintain, restock, and store beverage items in accordance with the restaurant s bar .
Key Focus
- Deliver a refined and engaging bar experience that aligns with the standards of a Michelin-starred restaurant
- Prepare cocktails and beverages with precision, consistency, and attention to detail
- Provide warm, knowledgeable service to guests seated at the bar, taking orders and guiding their beverage selections
- Recommend cocktails, spirits, and wines based on guest preferences and menu pairings
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar station at all times
- Collaborate with the service and kitchen teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of spirits, classic and modern cocktails, wine, and non-alcoholic options
- Participate in ongoing training and development to elevate product knowledge and technical skills
- Uphold all safety, sanitation, and compliance standards during service
Personnel:
- Ensure compliance with occupational, health, and safety standards.
- Participate actively during pre-shift meeting to assist in educating staff member s on current beverage options.
- Participate in bar training s of the current bar program.
- Ensure consistent communication with team members, management , and the kitchen during service.
- Demonstrate ability to aid co-workers during service while successfully maintaining responsibilities.
Guest Service
- Ensure all guests consistently receive courteous and efficient service.
- Maintain a welcoming and organized restaurant environment by following all steps of service .
- Anticipate guest needs and create strong guest relationships.
- Respond promptly to guest concerns and complaints involving management when necessary.
- Maintain guest satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating , and assessing food / beverage service.
- Maintain and prepare various bar operation guidelines and recommend improvements.
- Assist the Bar director with planning and organizing the restaurants bar .

Physical Demands
- The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, standing for long periods, bending, liftining up to 25lbs and moving intermittently during working hours.
