Were looking for a seasoned Lead Host to join our team and help set the tone for every guests experience from the moment they walk in the door.

Position Summary:
As Lead Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and play a key role in ensuring a seamless front-of-house experience. Were seeking someone with at least three years of hosting experience in an upscale or high-volume restaurant environment. This position requires professionalism, poise, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced setting. For the right candidate, there is strong potential for future growth into a management role .

Key Responsibilities:

• Warmly welcome and greet all guests upon arrival

• Manage the flow of reservations and walk-ins using OpenTable or a similar platform

• Oversee host team scheduling, training, and floor operations

• Communicate effectively with management, service staff, and kitchen to ensure smooth service

• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and poise

• Maintain the ambiance and appearance of the host stand and front entrance

• Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality and ensuring a polished, professional tone at all times

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of hosting experience in an upscale or high-volume restaurant

• Strong leadership skills and a natural ability to mentor and motivate a team

• Polished appearance and excellent communication skills

• Proficiency with reservation systems (OpenTable experience a plus)

• Weekend, holiday, and evening availability required

• Chicago restaurant experience preferred
