Utility Worker - Temporary

An exciting summer opportunity for a Utility Worker is now available in our Facilities Department. Our Facilities team takes great pride in making sure that the patient environment is sanitary, comfortable, and safe. In this temporary role, you will have a significant impact on the quality of care delivered at UP Health System – Portage by performing various labor, cleaning, sorting and minor maintenance/repair activities.

Required skills\:

• Basic mechanical comprehension • Ability to work with limited supervision • Must be able to understand safety requirements and basic risk assessments • Requires physical ability- lifting, bending, stooping, etc. • Ability to safely drive truck with trailer

Requirements\:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

One Year Institutional/Commercial Housekeeping or Maintenance Experience Preferred

Current State Driver’s License Required

Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination Required

Position Details\:

1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)

Temporary, 90 day position
