Job Summary
This position is responsible for performing any combination of light general cleaning duties throughout the Club to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and appearance. Responsibilities include taking out trash, restocking supplies, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, windows, offices as well as performing laundry duties.
Housekeeping Duties
- CREATE WOW by: anticipating needs and wants, being prepared, being continuously enthusiastic, executing flawlessly and doing it now
- Keep rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors (parking garage, main building, and sports court), elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas clean
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines when necessary
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies
- Dust furniture, equipment and assigned areas
- Polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings
- Keep walls, ceilings, and woodwork clean
- Clean windows, door panels, and sills
- Empty wastebaskets, and transport to disposal area
- Replenish restroom supplies
- Clean coffee machine station
- Notify supervisor or maintenance if something is not working properly
- Properly store chemicals, supplies and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
Laundry Duties
- Provide laundry services such as sorting, washing, drying, sanitizing, ironing, folding, marking, mending and/or uniforms and tablecloths.
- Use cleaning agents, products and equipment according to standards.
- Clean lint filters in dryers daily
- Report any hazardous material left in laundry bags/basket to your supervisor immediately.
Working Conditions
- Occasional exposure to hot and humid conditions and inclement weather
- Occasional exposure to soiled linen and/or contaminated materials (see bloodborne pathogen guidelines).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position regularly 5 days/40 hrs. per week depending on business needs.
Required Skills/ Abilities
- Customer service attitude
- Willingness to work all department areas including laundry
- Must be able to effectively communicate and interact in a friendly, helpful and respectful manner while on property.
- Basic understanding of the English language is required to perform assigned tasks and follow directions, verbal or written.
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal & written instructions independently.
- Provide constant and consistent exceptional customer service to members and guests.
- Possess honest and integrity
- Show up for work on time and follow work schedule
- Works well independently or with a team and with minimal supervision
- Maintain work area clean, safe and organized
- Maintain a sense of urgency and work safely
- Spanish bilingual preferred
Education and Experience
- Basic reading and comprehension of English or Spanish language to understand verbal and written instructions or guidelines from supervisor or manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
