Responsibilities

1. Anticipate and service the guest's needs before requests are necessary.

2. Retrieve and stock all linen, china, silver, glassware and food and beverage items.

3. Complete opening and closing side work as assigned and have all tables set according to standard.

4. Provide unobtrusive and professional service.

5. Provide water, bread and butter service throughout the meal to guests.

6. Offer coffee or tea and serve any requested according to hotel standards.

7. Crumb tables.

8. Carry trays properly and safely as well as break them down.

9. Clear tables and reset them for specific number of persons.

10. Provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap in the restaurant.

11. Breakdown any buffets, displays or stations between service or when needed.

12. Assist servers when needed.

13. Recognize and address potential intoxicated disruptive or undesirable guests.

14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities

Average reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.

Ability to work a variety of shifts as will involve days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Supervision

Position functions with supervision.

Education and Experience

Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 year of food service experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

Must be able to go up and down staircase as well as stoop and bend.

Uniform Requirement

Non-Slip Shoes.

Uniform will be provided.

Employees are responsible for maintaining a clean/crisp looking uniform.
