POSITION SUMMARY: The Cook will prepare food to our Chef’s specifications and to set up stations for our daily menu. The Cook will ensure that food comes out simultaneously, meeting our highest standards of quality, in a timely fashion. The Cook will assist the Chef in daily tasks and play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sets up, stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepares food - including cutting, chopping, mixing, preparing sauces
- Cooks menu items, including grilling, sautéing, frying, following specified recipes for our signature dishes, in cooperation with the other kitchen staff
- Plates prepared foods to Chef’s exact specifications, following proper plate presentation and garnish set up
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work station
- Follows all sanitation regulations and safety standards for proper food handling and food storage
- Ensures kitchen is properly stocked, performing inventory checks and completing food storage logs
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years’ experience cooking for events/banquets
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
- Wednesday through Sunday, weekends and holidays required
