Janitor (night shift)

  • Assist Managers in ordering supplies and keeping track of inventory.
  • Provide cleaning of assigned facilities and equipment in accordance with acceptable practices as defined by contract and outlined by management.
  • Duties involve a combination of the following: Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing and polishing floors, removing trash and other refuse; dusting equipment, furniture or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; maintaining-restocking of supplies and cleaning sanitizing of lavatories, showers, and restrooms.
  • Effectively interact with supervisors, managers, co-workers, and customers.
  • Maintain accountability of assigned supplies and equipment utilizing them in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and per supervisor instruction
  • Follow cleaning schedules and complete assigned work in a timely fashion and to acceptable quality standards
  • Report all deficiencies, lost or broken equipment, damage of customer property and other discrepancies to Janitorial Supervisor
  • Report as scheduled or provide management with adequate notification of absence.
  • Participate in all scheduled training, comply with company, customer, safety and related guidelines
  • Maintain quality control of all assigned buildings
  • Operate and respect equipment under supervision of Janitorial Supervisor and Project Manager.
  • Provide any other assigned duties and adherence to regulations outlined in The Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Willingly and effectively cooperates with OTC, The Department of Human Services, The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and other licensing or state agency or local municipalities in any inspections and investigations, upon request.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to understand and execute assigned tasks.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to work Night Shift

Necessary Special Requirements

  • Employee must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and determined to not be disqualified by the Department of Human Services (DHS) prior to working with individuals served.
  • Employee should agree to have their name verified against the Central Registry of offenders against individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Employee shall submit to drug testing prior to employment and agree to submit to drug testing upon random selection and for cause.
