Job DetailsVera Cocina, a vibrant Lebanese-Mexican restaurant in Washington, D.C., is looking for a warm, professional, and service-driven Host/Hostess to join our team.
As the first point of contact for our guests, our hosts play a key role in setting the tone for the Vera experience. We are seeking individuals who are personable, detail-oriented, and passionate about hospitality. The right candidate will take pride in welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring seamless flow throughout service.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and seat guests with genuine hospitality and warmth.
Manage reservations and guest profiles using our reservation system (Tock).
Maintain the flow of the dining room by coordinating with management and the service team.
Communicate effectively with guests, anticipate their needs, and ensure a memorable experience.
Assist with coat check, managing waitlists, and organizing walk-ins.
Help create a positive, team-oriented environment.
Ideal Candidate:
Prior host/hostess or customer service experience preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
A genuine love for people, food, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
