The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring for an On-Call/Temporary Rohr's Server at the Morris Inn. The University Operations, Events, and Safety division leads the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions, while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives.
Job Overview The Rohr's Server provides prompt, efficient, and courteous service, exemplifying all elements of hospitality such as anticipation, recognition, and responsiveness to the needs of others. The Rohr's Server is expected to demonstrate optimism, integrity, empathy, and self-awareness in all interactions. Essential duties of the Rohr's Server include:
  • Greeting guests, describing and explaining food and beverage offerings, creating guest orders, and communicating them accurately to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • Serving food and beverages according to established standards, ensuring continuous service throughout the dining experience, presenting guest checks, and processing payments.
  • Carrying food and beverage items using trays when possible to and from the dining room, kitchen, and bar.
  • Accurately and promptly completing all shift-related paperwork and reports, ensuring proper documentation of sales, guest interactions, and service notes as required.
  • Performing additional tasks to support a hospitable work environment, including side work, cleaning, and assisting team members as needed.
