Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Welding Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Maintenance team. This individual will be responsible for performing welding, fabrication, and repair work on a variety of equipment and systems within our silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductor manufacturing facility, currently undergoing extensive refurbishment. This role requires a strong understanding of various welding techniques and materials, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, black iron, and working knowledge of both metal inert gas (MIG) and tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding, fabrication, and repair work on facility equipment and systems, including but not limited to:

  • Process piping systems (e.g., gas lines, water lines)

  • Structural steel components

  • Equipment enclosures and frames

  • HVAC ductwork

  • Black Iron piping

  • Exhaust systems

  • Work with a variety of materials, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, black iron, and other alloys.

  • Inspect welds for quality and compliance with industry standards and specifications.

  • Maintain and repair welding equipment, ensuring proper operation and safety. Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment and related systems.

  • Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Document all work performed, including materials used, time spent, and any issues encountered.

  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and contractors as needed.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or apprenticeship in welding is preferred.
  • Min 3+ years of work experience in welding.
  • Proven proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.
  • Experience working with steel, stainless steel, aluminum, black iron, and other alloys.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of welding symbols and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to welding and fabrication.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose welding-related problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including lifting, bending, standing, and working in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Welding certifications (e.g., AWS) are a plus.
  • Experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom protocol is a plus.
  • Orbital welding experience is a plus

Additional Information

  • This role will work on site in Roseville, CA.
  • This positions works overtime and on-call when necessary.
  • Monday- Friday 8-5pm with overtime as necessary
  • Indefinite US work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization unavailable

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $26.00-$34.00/hr. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
