Location: Wexford/Science Center Campus

Hourly Rate: 14.00/HR + full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday (5am-1pm) + driving position

The Spirit of the Position:

The Porter or Groundskeeper is responsible for all janitorial responsibilities for garages and surface lots ensuring they are maintained and cleaned on a daily basis, while also executing customer service

Principal Job Duties:

• Greet customers, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude, develop a rapport with the customer base.
• Daily cleaning of all surface lots/ garages & sidewalks adjacent to surface lots/garages , common areas; dust, sweep, wet mop, vacuum, and empty garbage. Parking Equipment; wipe down on a weekly basis.
• Ensure garages and surface lots are maintained and cleaned on a daily basis.
• Daily removes and properly discards litter and debris from parking grounds, elevators, landscaping.
• Responsible for general maintenance of the garage and surface lots sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, changing light bulbs, painting etc.
• Report all notable concerns, such as vandalism, missing light bulbs or fixtures, and missing fire extinguishers in the common areas to the Facility Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License
• Janitorial service experienced is required.
• Landscaping, grounds keeping is highly preferred.
• Parking experiences is plus, but not required.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer relations.

Skills:

• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
• Willingness to be flexible, work multiple facility locations. Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
• Must be able to work unsupervised.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
• Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded). Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands:

• Capable of heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, balancing, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
