Guest Services Manager

Business Unit: The Peninsula New York

Location: New York

Primarily responsible for managing the Guest Services department (Bell, Door, and Page Attendants), ensuring a strategic and effective lobby flow/presence, and overseeing the arrival/departure experience in a manner that is consistent with the standards and policies of The Peninsula New York.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage and support guest services team to ensure a memorable, flawless, and personal arrival/departure for all guests.
  • Adhere to all Peninsula brand service principles to ensure a memorable and personalized stay for all our guests and patrons.
  • Ensure Lobby area, front drive, seating areas and perimeter around the entrance are pristine.
  • Connect and greet all guest throughout their movements for all hotel guests daily.
  • Oversee transportation experience for guests (Mini Cooper, Courtesy Car, Limo service and Valet services).
  • Escort guests and patrons, always providing a hotel/outlet orientation during their visit.
  • Work closely with Concierge and Guest Relations team to ensure a personable experience for all guests.
  • Ensure strong, consistent, and efficient communication with all pertinent hotel departments.
  • Partner up and work closely with Transportation company, representative and drivers to ensure consistent service is provided to all guests.
  • Gatekeeper to Hotel Lobby Ambassador and Greeter Program.

General Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in hotel management, hospitality, business administration or related field preferred
  • At least 2-years' experience in a luxury hotel front of house position.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a variety of people, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, understand and work well in a team driven environment.
  • Must possess an aptitude for guest service and have a cheerful, positive attitude.
  • Must be fluent in English. Fluency in at least one foreign language preferred.
