Greets customers with a courteous and friendly manner. Customers are our #1 priority. Takes customers order and prepares the order according to recipe and procedures set by chef, keeping in mind guest specifications or dietary needs. Able to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items. Cook items to specific cook times and temperatures in accordance to health regulations. Able to produce mass production of recipes consistently. Exhibit beginner-baking skill: dough and cookie batter. Able to physically set up, breakdown and set catering production according to catering specs. Follow and complete all items required as listed on prep list and par list. Maintain proper and adequate set-up and breakdown of the station on a daily basis. Requisition and stock of all required food, paper products, and condiments. Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storage of all perishables daily to ensure product quality. Works with chef to contribute with suggestions on weekly menu. Anticipates peak and non-peak service times; batch cooks food items accordingly. Completes any other job related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization's Values.High school diploma or equivalent. Active Serve Safe and Food Handler Certifications. Minimum of three (3) years of food service industry experience. Basic knife skills: chopping, peeling, slicing, julienne, dice. Able to operate point of sale and cash handling skills. Able to use the pizza oven, meat slicer safely and properly. Fluent with the grill position and prep/utility position. Must be able to cook to order in front of customers. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment. Excellent customer service, organizational skills, multi-tasking skills and time management skills. Work a majority of time managing the Cafe, which requires physical activity, including prolonged standing and lifting up to 50 lbs. Our credit union cafe is open 7am to 2 pm and may work additional hours. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals and cleaning chemicals.Experience working in a commercial kitchen. Associates degree, or additional training or certification. Excellent customer service and time management skills. General operational knowledge of computers. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Appropriate State of Texas Certifications/Licenses.
