Prep Cook

Prepare, serve, and sale of food items to be performed in a professional timely manner. Maintain dishwashing area as a clean, safe and sanitary location following health standards. Maintaining proper and adequate set-up and breakdown of the kitchen/station on a daily basis. Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly. Follow and complete all items required as listed on shift prep-sheets/board. Responsible for set up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of any machinery and equipment. Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storage of all perishables daily to ensure product quality. Inform manger/chef immediately of product shortages. Completes any other job related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization's Values.High school diploma or equivalent. Active Food Handler Certification. Minimum of one (1) year of food service industry experience. Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment. Good customer service and time management skills. Work a majority of time cleaning the Cafe area, which requires physical activity, including prolonged standing and lifting up to 25 lbs. Our credit union cafe is open 7am to 2 pm and may work additional hours. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals and cleaning chemicals.Experience working in a commercial kitchen. Knowable of chemicals used for dish cleaning machine. Proper knife skills.
