JOB TITLE JOB DETAILS:

Starting Hourly Pay: $18.63 with multiple pay increases over your first years of service.

Superior medical coverage starts the 1st of the month following start date

Dental, vision, and basic life insurance premiums are free after eligibility period dependent on union representation.

Generous Benefits package including vacation, sick, holiday, and personal leave.

OPERS retirement - The employee contributes 10% of their salary towards their retirement. The employer contributes an amount equal to 14% of the employee's salary.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Prepares & cooks foods according to standardized recipes (e.g., makes desserts, dressings & breads, special menu foods; mixes salads; prepares hot & cold beverages; slices meats & cheese, makes sandwiches; obtains necessary items from ingredient/storeroom, coolers & freezers; cleans & prepares vegetables & meats before cooking & mixing);

Uses standard &/or commercial kitchen equipment (e.g., steam kettles, grill, oven, broiler, meat slicer, steamers, fryers, range top, food processing equipment, thermometer, industrial mixer, chill blaster)

Maintains overall responsibility for proper preparation of cycle menus in most appetizing, nutritious & appealing manner within specified period of time for each serving.

Uses thermometer to monitor & record food temperatures as instructed

Qualifications

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in food preparation, sanitation & storage & use of food service equipment in institutional, school or restaurant setting.
