Summary
JOB SCOPE:
Responsible for assisting in the overall management of the housekeeping department; including staff supervision, scheduling, inspections of guest and staff areas andpleting a variety of administrative duties and reports. Other duties as required.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
Supervision
Distribute daily work assignments and inspect work performed.
Monitor and control various departmental operations and tasks.
Complete and maintain various records and employee files.
Inspect guest areas and back of house locations
Other duties as assigned.
Train, counsel, evaluate, and discipline staff along contractual guidelines.
Prepare daily staff assignments and scheduling.
Attends departmental meetings and meets with assigned staff on a regular basis.
Communicate Hotel and Housekeeping standards among staff.
Prepare weekly schedules and payroll according to the forecast and other factors.
Delegate responsibilities.
Inventories, orders, and receives housekeeping equipment and supplies.
Maintains key control.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL:
College degree preferably in Hospitality Management.
2 years of housekeeping supervisory experience.
Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills; fluent in English.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and detail orientation.
Ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced and high-pressure situations.
Strong guest service orientation.
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
Ethical Awareness (fairness, equity, integrity, and ethics.)
Flexible team player.
Self-Efficacy (confidence, good judgment, independence, and self-direction.)
Creative (innovative and curious.)
Service oriented style with professional presentations skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must have excellentanizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.
DESIRABLE:
Experience in upscale NYC hotel properties and/or knowledge of housekeeping operating procedures.
Experience managing Union Staff and/or knowledge of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Familiarity with Opera and/or HOTSOS hotel management systems.
Salary Ranges - $65,000 - $74,000 Annual Salary
