Position Summary:
SERVER are responsible for serving residents and guest meals in a friendly, service-oriented manner. The waitstaff records and inputs into the POS system beverage and food orders, delivers, and serves food, ensures exceptional guest service. This position requires the ability to multitask with a sense of urgency. Assignments can include Wait Staff, Busser, Runner, Meal Plater, Catering and Utility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.
Greets guests promptly as they arrive at their table.
Records accurate food and beverage orders and input into the POS system.
Explains how menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods. Makes recommendations. Informs guests of daily specials.
Carries service tray in correct placement of orders to facilitate service of food and beverages.
Works safely, consistently using designated safety equipment (personal protective equipment- PPE).
Completes bussing, runner, meal plater, utility and catering duties as assigned.
Handles guest complaints in a positive and professional manner.
As assigned, performs catering function set up, break down and service.
Completes station side work; have Shift Supervisor or Manager check station and side work before leaving the floor.
Maintains front of house and kitchen sanitation requirements.
Understands and complies with all company safety policies.
Reports to work on time and in complete uniform.
Communicates appropriately with supervisors and dining room staff. Listens and follows up effectively.
Must attend any scheduled meetings and/or training sessions.
Maintains confidentiality of members' PHI (Protected Health Information) and
Medical records as well. This position is classified as a level 5 in the ePhi Access Group levels.
This position is considered an essential role and the incumbent may be required to work during emergency situations including natural disasters.
All other duties as assigned.
Dietary Aide:
? When working in the Health Center Dining Room reports to the Dietary Manager.
Assist on serving line; prepares modified textures or therapeutic menus as instructed.
May be asked to deliver trays to apartments on an as needed basis.
Performs side jobs and additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Promotes clean, safe and neat environment for members, self and staff.
Hosting:
? When working as Host/Hostess responsible for greeting members and their guests as they enter the main dining room, escorts them to their table and provides menus.
Qualifications:
? Minimum of six months experience in similar position; preferably in an upscale environment
? H.S. Diploma or GED required.
Employee will be required to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
? Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to multi-task.
? This individual will need to be empathetic, energetic and have an affinity for working with a senior population.

Daily, throughout the workday: Must be capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, turning, bending, stooping, crouching and kneeling, reaching over the head, grasping with both hands, and fine manipulation. Must have normal eyesight or use corrective lenses. Must have three-dimensional vision and ability to judge distances and spatial relationships to see objects where and as they are.
