Floriana Restaurant brings the warmth and tradition of Northern Italy to the heart of Downtown Wilmington, NC. Our menu celebrates regional ingredients and time-honored recipesfrom hand-rolled/stuffed pasta and risottos to braised meats and seasonal vegetables. We pride ourselves on scratch cooking, attention to detail, and a collaborative kitchen culture. We're currently looking for a SKILLED AND EXPERIENCED LINE COOK with a passion for Italian cuisine to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Set up and stock station with all necessary mise en place for service.
Execute dishes from our seasonal menu with precision and consistency.
Work closely with the kitchen team to prepare handmade pastas, risottos, sauces, and proteins according to traditional Northern Italian techniques.
Ensure proper plating and presentation for each dish.
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen.
Adhere to all food safety guidelines and kitchen protocols.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience on the line in a professional kitchen (Italian or fine dining experience preferred)
Familiarity with Italian ingredients and techniques.
Ability to follow detailed recipes while also using intuition and palate.
Strong knife skills and attention to detail.
Positive attitude, reliability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Culinary education is a plus but not required.
