Dishwasher/Prep Cook

Wintonbury Hills Golf Club is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a skilled Dishwasher and Prep Cook to join our team. We’re looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment and are committed to delivering outstanding culinary experiences. As part of the Troon-managed family of clubs, you’ll play a key role in upholding our high standards of service and excellence.

General Purpose: Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing kitchen items and utensils and performing basic cooking tasks under the supervision of chefs or cooks.

Essential Duties:

• Wash dishes at a fast pace.
• Assist with food preparation and ensure all ingredients are properly stored and labeled.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety of all food served.
• Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
• Collaborate with the catering and banquet teams to ensure timely and efficient service.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment, follow recipes, and execute cooking techniques.
• Willingness to assist other team members as needed, including bussing tables or supporting catering events.
• Proficiency in cooking various types of dishes, following recipes, and ensuring food quality.
• Food preparation: Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques such as chopping, slicing, and marinating.
• C ommitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment following proper sanitation guidelines.
• Understanding of customer service principles and ability to provide excellent service to guests.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and practices.

Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
