Industrial Cleaner-Weekends

Shift: Weekends - Saturday and Sundays- shift usually starts at 8am. Shifts could be a little shorter or longer based on the amount of work. Most workers work between 12-16 hours per weekend.

-reapply grease
-change grading
-buff floors
-General Industrial cleaning--Not Janitorial.

Responsibilities

Deep clean and maintain common areas including but not limited to: bathrooms, breakrooms, hallways, entryways, locker rooms and office spaces;
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces in the facility, including manufacturing areas and equipment as required;
Safely utilize required solvents and chemicals to provide sanitation services;
Wear PPE as required which may include but not be limited to: face masks, respirators, safety glasses, safety gloves, hard hats, steel-toe boots (OSHA/CSA approved), and paint suits;
Lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift to move materials and carry supplies;
Perform physically repetitive tasks: work in a fast-paced environment, bending, lifting, pushing/pulling, using stairs, reaching, scrubbing, prolonged standing and walking;
Utilize a floor buffer/scrubber equipment for floor stripping and wax services in the building (training provided not all sites require this);
Restock and manage inventory and supplies within the janitorial storage areas;
Abide by all health and safety policies, practices, and procedures by the company and facility;
Follow all company and site instructions and building protocols;
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Previous experience in industrialized or janitorial cleaning is considered an asset;
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physically repetitive tasks;
Ability to bring or purchase before work steel-toed safety boots;
Availability to work various shifts including overtime and on weekends;
Motivated and self-driven person with a willingness to learn;
Safety-oriented with a strong attention to detail;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Minimum High School level education;
Must be able to reliably commute to the site for work.
