  • Set up tables and banquet hall before the event

  • Assist with food preparation before and during the event

  • Ensures that all food and beverages delivered and served are served promptly, garnished correctly, and meet the quality and presentation standards

  • Serve appetizers and plated dinners to guests

  • Serve and refill alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

  • Closely observe guests to ensure that they are satisfied with food, beverages, and service; immediately recognize and respond to any guests needs and/or requests

  • Assist with post-event clean up, inventory, food storage, and tear down

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for proper setup and tear down phase of events
  • Assist with post-event clean up and reset
  • Inspect public and staff areas for cleanliness and rectify issues.
  • Transporting supplies, stocking bars and action stations
  • Complete knowledge and interpretation of buffet stations for particular services
  • Have knowledge of floor plan, hours of operation, and time line of event
  • Familiarity of table numbers and seat numbers
  • Executes delivery of food from kitchen to tables
  • Must work with a high sense of urgency.
  • Maintain event equipment and report any damage or issues there might be
  • Properly cares for, stores and moves tables, chairs, equipment and room supplies
  • Participates as a team member for events when needed
  • Assist with food preparation before and during the event.
  • Clears dishes and glass ware when returning to kitchen (pre-buss)
  • Ensures that all food and beverages delivered and served are served promptly, garnished correctly, and meet the quality and presentation standards
  • Performs assigned side work and cleaning duties as assigned by manager.
  • Closely observe guests to ensure that they are satisfied with food, beverages, and service; immediately recognize and respond to any guests needs and/or requests
  • Ability to perform multiple functions throughout the venue on an as-needed basis
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management
  • Previous banquet server/catering or houseman/porter/steward experience a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to stand and walk for several hours at a time and lift up to 75 pounds
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Cleanliness: Being clean and neat when serving food and drinks will help create a great first impression to your customers.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred

  • At least 19 years old and be available to work weekends and holidays.

  • Previous banquet server/cater waiter experience a plus

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Must be able to stand and walk for several hours at a time and lift up to 30 pounds

  • Reliable transportation

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively

  • Cleanliness: Being clean and neat when serving food and drinks will help create a great first impression to your customers.
