General Maintenance Engineer II

A General Maintenance will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting space, and front of the house areas. Guest room and public area preventative maintenance are included. A General Maintenance Engineer II will also perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment, requiring some skills and experience in these areas, as well as good communication skills.

Essential\:

· Valid California Driver’s License.

· Working knowledge of power tools and related equipment.

· Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and electro-mechanical systems successfully.

· Must be willing to take initiative and have ability to be innovative with problem solving.

· Working knowledge of electricity and plumbing.

· Working knowledge of pool equipment care.

· Working knowledge of spa equipment care.

· Ability to work well with others.

· Ability to take direction and work unsupervised.

Desirable\:

· 3 years previous maintenance experience in hotel, building or commercial building, or equivalent experience in a specialized trade.

· CPR/first aid qualified.

· Knowledge of HVAC/R

This position will pay $25.00/hour.
