- Job applicants must pass a comprehensive written test and welding test.
- Keep equipment maintained so that breakdowns are kept to a minimum.
- Perform this work without detailed plans and instructions from a supervisor.
- Must be willing and able to follow safety rules and regulations, good housekeeping and clean-up procedures must be followed on all jobs. Report all defective and unsafe conditions to Supervisor.
- Use the following tools and equipment (but not limited to); burning torch, welding torch, welding trucks, arc welding machine, small hand tools, large wrenches, chains, blocks, power hacksaw, electric drill, drill press, jacks, hoists, plasma cutter, and MIG welders.
- Must be capable of lifting and carrying 50 pounds, able to bend, sit, squat, crawl and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to reach above shoulders and work with tools. Must be able to climb ladders as high as 20 feet and be able to use vibrating equipment and swing a sledgehammer.
- Capable of reading schematics, blueprints, and repair manuals.
- Dismantle, repair, and assemble new pieces of equipment in the facility.
- Willing to be task trained on all necessary mobile equipment as needed.
- Must be able to read and understand service manuals and parts books.
- Must be familiar with JDE, able to issue work orders, and order parts as needed.
- Inspect equipment for conditions, wear, etc. Record findings as part of Preventative Maintenance program.
- Be able to operate cranes to lift men and material safely after sufficient training.
- Able to learn the uses of various greases and lubricants and know what type as well as the amount to use on different machines and equipment. Must know the proper intervals between lubrications for all equipment, in a specified time frame.
- Possess the necessary hand tools (per Company required Tool List) to perform mobile maintenance jobs, up to " drive socket set and up to 1 " wrenches.
- Must be willing to work a majority of overtime under the circumstances of the job (including emergency situations)
- Applicant must have and maintain a current and valid PA Driver's License.
- Must be willing to work on equipment on the surface and underground
- Do any and all work assigned by a supervisor in a neat and orderly manner, satisfactory to management.
- Conform to all Company Work Rules.
- Report promptly anything requiring attention to the Supervisor.
- Must be able to follow instructions and directions as well as work unsupervised.
