Responsible for delivering the highest level of service to all guests while working at the Bell Desk. Oversees all desk operations of checking (Holding) luggage, answers all incoming calls and dispatches bellman to pickup or receive guest luggage. Assists in organizing bell staff to perform at the highest level possible.
Our ideal candidate:- Previous experience in a Bell Desk position is preferred.
- A minimum of one-year customer service experience in a position where the primary job duty is direct customer contact, with the ability to provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.
- Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
- Answers the phone within 3 rings and uses proper phone etiquette.
- Must smile and be energetic while using the Harrahs Family-Style Service Voice and make eye contact with each guest interaction.
- Maintains service standards for bell desk of expedited and efficient service.
- Manages group deliveries and special services (e.g., wheelchairs, Casino Marketing groups, etc.).
- Coordinates bell desk activities with tour companies and Sales Department.
- Must be able to run any reports needed as specified by Management.
- Maintains inventory of supplies for bell desk.
- Resolves customer complaints regarding bell service and takes action to resolve complaint.
- Ensures Bell Persons are properly posted during down times.
- Must be able to use and maintain all Bell Desk logs.
- Must be able to use and maintain Amadeus HotSOS.
- Must be able to use LMS to look up and verify guest names as well as any additional guests on the reservation.
- Assists in valet operations in handling of guest requests.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Manager on Duty.
- Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.
- Able to work independently.
- Able to work and quickly maneuver inside and outside, sometimes in heat in excess of 115 degrees or cold in excess of 10 degrees.
- Able to stoop, bend and lift objects that weigh up to 80 pounds.
- Able to push and/or pull heavy rolling loads in excess of 300 pounds.
- Respond to visual and aural cues.
- Able to read and speak English clearly.
- Must be able to operate a computer and telephones.
- Able to stand throughout entire working shift.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke.
Pay: $16.50 per hour plus tips
