POSITION OVERVIEW
Were seeking a skilled, hospitality-forward Lead Bartender to join our opening team. This role is ideal for someone who is not only a master of classic and contemporary cocktails, but also an inspiring leader and team player. The Lead Bartender will work closely with the Beverage Manager to help execute a thoughtful, seasonal beverage program and set the tone for service at the bar.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and serve beverages with precision, speed, and consistency in accordance with restaurant standards
  • Maintain deep knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail ingredients, including rotating and seasonal offerings
  • Collaborate with the Beverage Manager on cocktail R&D, staff training, and bar organization
  • Uphold exceptional hospitality and engage guests with warmth and professionalism
  • Train and mentor bartenders and barbacks, supporting a culture of growth and accountability
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of the bar area, adhering to DOH and internal standards
  • Manage inventory, prep lists, and par levels in coordination with management
  • Support opening and closing procedures and assist in creating weekly prep and cleaning schedules
  • Step into floor support or service bar duties when needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of bartending experience in high-volume, quality-driven restaurants or bars
  • 1+ year in a leadership or mentorship capacity preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of spirits, cocktail techniques, and wine
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, confident presence behind the bar
  • Passion for hospitality and guest experience
  • Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Toast, Aloha)
  • Food Handler and BASSET certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
  • Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate a physically active service environment
Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($15.00) plus tips
