PURPOSE

The Lead Laundry Attendant at Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel serves as a working team lead within the laundry operations. This position assists with coordination of daily tasks, provides support and guidance to Laundry Attendants, and ensures linens are processed in a timely, efficient, and high-quality manner. This role supports the Laundry Supervisor in maintaining smooth, organized, and guest-ready laundry services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Operations Support: Assist in coordinating the daily workflow, ensuring that linens are processed according to established quality standards.

Team Leadership: Provide task direction and informal coaching to Laundry Attendants. Assist with assigning duties, monitoring performance, and supporting a productive work environment.

Quality Assurance: Monitor laundered items for cleanliness, proper stain treatment, and overall condition. Report recurring issues or equipment concerns to the Supervisor.

Equipment Use and Safety: Operate and ensure proper use of industrial washers, dryers, and pressing equipment. Promote safe practices and adherence to safety standards.

Inventory and Supplies: Assist in monitoring linen and supply inventory levels. Notify the Supervisor of material needs to maintain continuity of operations.

Team Collaboration: Coordinate with Housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure timely linen turnover and availability.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency or workflow and communicate observations to the Supervisor.

Role Modeling: Demonstrate strong work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail, serving as an example for Laundry Attendants.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience :

One (1) year of experience in laundry operations.

Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals.

Skills and Abilities :

Leadership Support: Ability to guide team members and support a collaborative and positive work environment.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.

Technical Proficiency: Skilled in operating commercial laundry machines and handling chemicals in accordance with safety standards.

Problem Solving: Ability to identify and address operational issues effectively.

Reliability: Demonstrates consistent attendance, punctuality, and follow-through.

Communication: Clear, respectful communication with team members, supervisors, and related departments.

PREFERRED

Education and Experience :

Six (6) months of experience leading others in a supervisory or lead role.

Training in laundry systems or safety certification is preferred.

Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
