About the Role:
The Day Janitor plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both employees and visitors at our CE Muskegon - Norton Shores location. This position is responsible for ensuring that all areas of the facility are kept in pristine condition, which directly impacts the overall experience of everyone who enters the building. The Day Janitor will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces, to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness. Additionally, this role involves monitoring supplies and equipment, reporting any maintenance issues, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Ultimately, the Day Janitor contributes significantly to the operational efficiency and positive atmosphere of the workplace.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning services preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting all areas of the facility.
- Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and report any maintenance or repair needs to management.
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations while performing cleaning duties.
- Assist in setting up and taking down furniture for events or meetings as needed.
