Summary:

The individual in this position reports to the Administrative Assistant and is responsible for supporting the daily office and manufacturing operations by ensuring continual cleanliness and housekeeping of the office, warehouse, manufacturing facilities and grounds throughout the day while practicing safe work practices and adherence to all management directives, procedures and instructions in all activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

FarmTek Office Areas:

  • Clean the coffee area sinks and counters with a cleaner and a disinfectant spray.
  • Clean the drinking fountains with a cleaner and a disinfectant.
  • Disinfect door handles (restrooms and hallways).
  • Sweep/Scrub floor in front of counter areas and by drinking fountains.
  • Dust wood stair rails and banister.
  • Vacuum all areas
  • Dust cubicles
  • Audit and order supplies
  • Replenish disinfectant wipes by the time clock

Restrooms:

  • Clean countertop and sink area with a cleaner and disinfectant.
  • Wipe down all holders (toilet paper, soap dispensers, needle boxes and hand towel dispensers).
  • Clean entire toilet including base, handle, seat and rim with a cleaner. Then disinfect the entire toilet with a disinfectant spray.
  • Make sure that the entire urinal is cleaned and disinfected.
  • Toilet bowls and inside urinals need to be cleaned with a cleaner and scrub brush. Then sprayed with a disinfectant.
  • Clean mirrors with a window cleaner.
  • Clean and disinfect baseboards monthly.
  • Dust all walls monthly.
  • Clean wall by towel dispenser.
  • Restroom stalls- clean doors, walls, bottom of stall legs and tops of stalls monthly.
  • Spray disinfectant on stall door handles and door handle leaving restroom.
  • Sweep and scrub floors.
  • Change trash can liners in trash cans every day.
  • Restrooms across from lunchroom will also follow the above requirements.

Lunchroom:

  • Clean all tables and spray with a disinfectant.
  • Clean the sink and counter area and disinfect.
  • Wipe down all holders (soap, towel etc.)
  • Clean inside microwaves.
  • Clean outside of refrigerator and microwaves with soft scrub cleaner to whiten and remove build-up.
  • Disinfect the handles on the refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher.
  • Clean glass on vending machines with glass cleaner.
  • Clean baseboards monthly.
  • Clean lunchroom doors and handles and disinfect.
  • Wipe down outside of cupboards and disinfect the handles.
  • Disinfect the computer area and the phone.
  • Sweep and scrub the floor.
  • Clean out refrigerators.

Employee Entrance Hallway:

  • Clean drinking fountain with cleaner and disinfectant.
  • Dust or spot clean walls as necessary.
  • Wipe down and disinfect doors and handles.

FarmTek Warehouse:

  • Clean restrooms in the warehouse - complete tasks above as for other restrooms.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to adhere to all company and OSHA safety regulations and policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Janitorial or custodial experience in a manufacturing setting a plus.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to understand basic math skills.

Other Qualifications

Must be safety conscious and follow all safety guidelines.
