Tri-Township is seeking a qualified candidate for the following position:

Custodian

Hours: 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Tri-Township Schools is looking for a dependable and hardworking individual to serve as a Custodian. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Under the general supervision of the Head Custodian and Building Principal, the Custodian will perform daily cleaning, basic maintenance tasks, and other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the school.

Responsibilities include:

Cleaning and Sanitizing:

• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
• Wiping down surfaces and disinfecting high-touch areas

Trash Removal:

• Emptying trash bins throughout the facility
• Recycling when applicable

Maintenance Tasks:

• Reporting any maintenance issues

Security Checks:

• Ensuring all doors and windows are secure
• Reporting any suspicious activities

Set-Up for the Next Day:

• Arranging furniture and setting up spaces for the next day's activities
• Restocking cleaning supplies

Specialized Cleaning:

• Handling tasks like carpet cleaning or polishing floors as needed

Collaboration:

• Communicating with day-shift custodians for updates or specific tasks

Qualifications:

• Valid substitute teaching license
• Successful completion of a background check

Working Conditions:

• Works in school building environments
